How does Eco4 work?

Funding: Medium and larger energy suppliers fund the installation of energy efficiency measures in British households. Each supplier has a specific target based on its market share in the domestic energy sector.

Installation: These obligated energy suppliers collaborate with installers to introduce various efficiency measures into homes. This can involve installing insulation in your loft, floors, or walls, as well as implementing heating solutions

The UK Government’s ECO Scheme is funded by energy suppliers and regulated by Ofgem

Benefits Make a Difference

If you receive any of the specified benefits, you qualify for HHCRO funding. It's important to note that the benefit recipient doesn't have to be the homeowner; it can be anyone residing in the house, like a disabled child, grandparents, parents, or a spouse receiving a state benefit.

No Benefits? No Worries!

Even if you're not receiving the benefits mentioned earlier, you may still qualify for ECO assistance. There are alternative routes for eligibility, such as LA FLEX (Local Authority Flex) or LADS (Local Authority Delivery Scheme). These options ensure that help is available to a wider range of households.

In conclusion, ECO, particularly the HHCRO scheme, is a government initiative that aims to make homes more energy-efficient and cost-effective. It's a step toward reducing fuel poverty and cutting carbon emissions, and it's accessible to a broad spectrum of households. If you're unsure about your eligibility or how to get started, don't hesitate to reach out to energy suppliers or local authorities for guidance
